About Freespire
Freespire is a community-driven, Debian-based Linux distribution which legally supports (or has one-click access to support): MP3, DVD, Windows Media, QuickTime, Java, Flash, Real, ATI drivers, nVidia drivers, Adobe Acrobat Reader, proprietary WiFi drivers, fonts, and more. In addition to the CNR service, Freespire provides free access to the entire Freespire open source application pool using apt-get. Please read the Release Notes before downloading or installing.
Freespire software is Community Supported software. Please see the forum and mailing lists if you need technical help or support. If you download this version you should not open support tickets with Linspire. We recommend that you boot from the Live CD first.

Freespire OSS Edition
The Freespire OSS Edition is a special build of Freespire that does not contain any of the proprietary binaries that are found in the complete, regular version of Freespire. The OSS Edition contains only open source software. You can download the OSS Edition with bittorrent or download here from our ftp server.
